Tree planting 2009-2010
Around 900 native trees will be planted this coming winter - as always, your help would be greatly appreciated!
This follows on from a successful planting season last winter, when 900 trees were planted to help create areas of new woodland on the nature reserve.
We selected around 25 different species of native trees to plant, in order to maximise the variety of plants and attract a wide range of wildlife onto the site.
Groups from St.Ives Infants School, Nancledra School, High Tides Nursery and Duchy College assisted with this substantial task, along with a good number of volunteers from the local area.
Inspections have found that almost all of the trees have become established and are growing well.
